As a Maintenance Technician I, you will perform manual and semi-skilled work in the care and maintenance of assigned City equipment, facilities, and grounds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Clean and make minor repairs to walls, windows, doors, and floors.
Straighten up work areas and move furniture, materials, and supplies. Pick up trash, run sweepers, clean shelters, restrooms, elevators, and stairs. Purchase, pick up, and deliver supplies, parts, and materials. Operate a variety of standard power tools and equipment in grounds and building maintenance and repair activities. Perform preventative maintenance and make minor repairs to appliances, vehicles, and electrical fixtures.
Assist in the maintenance, repair, and/or replacement of plumbing, heating, ventilation, and electrical fixtures and systems. Conduct general maintenance on facilities and grounds, including painting, concrete repair, sign maintenance, mowing, and snow/ice removal.
Perform basic troubleshooting and emergency actions related to the Parking Utilities' Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) equipment and software for positions assigned to Parking Utility.
