purpose of the Electrician is to maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, and install electrical equipment within and around the facilities to keep the production operational and have zero loss of production chargeable to electrical maintenance.
Responsible for carrying out the assigned tasks in a timely manner. Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform all equipment repairs and daily work within OSHA regulations, lockout /tag-out, and Perdue safety guidelines. Attend CPR and First Aid training. Coordinate with contractors on necessary repairs and projects. Knowledge of general National Electrical Code (NFPA 70, 70E, 70B, &79) Be proficient
and able to repair, install and maintain control circuits and motors, three phase: 480/277 VAC, 240/120 VAC, and 208/120 VAC and single-phase volts: 120 volts.
Communicate as necessary to all other Electricians daily issues, fixes, needed repairs, emergency repairs, as well as any needed scheduled repairs needed for weekend work. Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience. Experience Requirements 1 to 2 years electrical experience. Must possess knowledge of electrical motors, and controls. Reading, writing, math and analytical skills required. Experience Preferred Experience as Industrial Electrician preferred. Two-year technical college is preferred. Strong
computer skills to include but not limited to Microsoft Office, IP addressing, Computer Networking, Micro-controller proprietary software, etc.
PLC and general wiring methods. Industrial automation controls. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements In stationary positions or moving for 12 hours on a wet, moist, dry, and greasy surfaces, like floors, metal or plastic grading surfaces and catwalks. Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distance, degrees, angle, weight, height, longest interval of times. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, up onto equipment and catwalks. Must be able to lift and control weights up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to handle temperatures from 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions. Must be able to wear required safety equipment including self-containing breathing apparatus. Must wear FR rated clothing as required. Exposed to air born dust, chemicals such as hexane, caustic soda, but a one, ethanol, aluminum chloride. Must have the ability to move through the facility and carry required equipment, tools which could weigh as much as 50lbs. Responsible to move throughout the facility, reach vertical heights of up to 65’ to perform repairs, PM’s and monitors equipment in both open and confined spaces.
