Our Sales Associates are responsible for ensuring a great customer experience by creating a friendly and welcoming environment within the store. Sales Associates assist guests with merchandise accessibility, product questions, or help with choosing the right gift for their occasion.
Essential Functions ( include but are not limited to ): Customer Service Greet customers and create a welcoming environment. Assist the customer in the selection process and provide product information asneeded, as well as communicate current store promotions and make merchandise suggestions based on the needs of the customer. Appropriately package purchases, asking which purchases may be a gift and require
additional attention at checkout. Encourage enrollment in our Newsletter and to follow on Facebook for information regarding merchandise and sales. Establish rapport with customers by asking about their experience, where they are from, how they heard about the store and by thanking them for their purchase.
Sales Floor Management Maintain the store and cash wrap in a clean, organized and easy-to-navigate manner. Performs and fully understands various sales and register transactions including ringing purchases, processing payments, counting money, processing returns as per company procedure, and all associated paperwork for end-of-day reporting. Routinely “sweeps” the sales floor for defective/broken
merchandise, reorganizing displays, loss prevention purposes, tag replacement, and light housekeeping duties.
Personal Productivity Opt-In (E-mail and Facebook) results. Receiving inventory, tagging and placement of merchandise will be handled during each shift. Work with integrity, follow store procedures, and take ownership of product, transactions and paperwork during each shift. Establish relationships with customers and co-workers, creating a positive work environment. Adhere to assigned work schedule, be punctual, and take ownership of timecard. Adhere to personal appearance policy. Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to continuously stand/walk, frequently push/pull/bend/reach, climb a ladder and carry or push up to 50lbs. of merchandise. Knowledge of cash register functions and payment processing. Computer Skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including events, holidays, evenings and weekends. Two or more years’ experience in retail, sales, and/or customer service/hospitality industry.
