Meet with the Plant Manager on a weekly basis and provide a status update on projects, continuous improvement initiatives, department budget, downtime, safety, and overall department performance. time) to eliminate budget overruns. Report expense to the Plant Manager weekly.
Communicate the weekly staffing/coverage schedule with the Plant Manager and peers, including established coverage plans during your absence. Coordinate with other functional areas to identify and solve problems, improving plant productivity. Implement safety and regulatory programs to assure long term safe operation of the facility. Work with company leaders to address any questions, concerns, or issues to resolve immediately. Recruit, direct, coach, and lead all maintenance personnel constantly raising the standard of performance. Establish education and development programs for employees including SOP’s, safety, and job expectations.
Create team-based environment through regular employee meetings encouraging open communication and seeking input regarding operations, safety and quality issues. Ensure compliance with all company, state and federal safety and regulatory policies and practices.
