Knowledge of painting techniques, uses of paints and other surface coating material (i. e. oils, bases, varnishes, etc. usually acquired through special training in vocational school. Requires knowledge of painting procedures as well as skill in using equipment and materials when performing moderately complex, multiple step painting procedures. Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, ability to be insured by CHW carrier in order to travel to offsite
location when necessary. Ability to exercise judgment in selecting proper equipment and supplies and methods of application to be used.
Interpersonal skills necessary to discuss work procedures with employees in other departments. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details while preparing surfaces for painting and mixing paints. Requires the visual ability to distinguish between closely matched colors.
