EHS safety professional will conduct regular walk thorough inspections of factory areas. Identify, document and recommend mitigation of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions; document near misses and hazards in company databases, follow through to ensure corrections have been made.
Investigate incidents, injuries and property damage; including compiling data, taking photographs and completing proper documentation associated with accidents including causal factors. Support compliance to various permits (i. e. wastewater, chemical usage & disposition etc. …) submitting applications as required. Assist in emergency rescues as required. Assist in maintaining fire protection and grounding
systems. Conduct various safety trainings for site staff including New Hire orientation, Train workforce on safety orientation, safety topics & regulatory requirements.
Conduct Job Hazard Analysis for specific tasks and focus on factory hazard recognition/correction systematically. Support management of Lock-out & Tag-out process for facilities and site equipment during installation, maintenance and repair work Identify and drive continuous improvement projects to prevent / mitigate EHS risks in the factory and make working conditions / environment safer for employees and visitors. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent Cal OSHA Compliance (OSHA 511 – occupational
health and safety standards for general industry, OSHA 30 – general industry) CPR – First Aid Certification a plus Minimum 3 years of safety experience.
Can be a combination of training, education, and relevant work experience that is equivalent KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. ); Experience with MAC a plus.
