This position offers the potential for direct client interaction and collaboration within a multi-discipline team and environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Architectural Design Working closely with a Senior Architect / Project Manager to independently produce design solutions and communicate to the project team. Assist in field investigations (existing conditions), develop conceptual
design solutions, and basis of design reports. Review technical design criteria and apply to design solutions from kickoff through design development and construction documentation.
Assist with conceptual design development for complex facilities including Universities, K-12, Data Centers, Hospitals, Correctional Facilities, Mixed-Use, Commercial Office Buildings, Laboratories, and Industrial Facilities. Assist with the development of design and construction documents including drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, etc. Participate in Construction Phase Services including the review of contractor submittals for conformance to construction documents, prepare responses to requests
for information, and attend periodic site visits. Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable codes and construction standards.
Assist in developing conceptual design options for inclusion within project proposals. EXPERIENCE: +2 years of experience in architectural design. Preferred industry experience includes Federal/Do D, civic, life sciences, health care, manufacturing, and higher education. Experience in the development of design and construction documentation. Working knowledge of Auto CAD Architecture, Engineering & Construction Suite 2018 (Auto CAD, Civil 3D, Revit, etc. ). Experience with Sketch UP or other 3D design software preferred.
EDUCATION: Bachelor or Master of Architecture, or Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering U. S. Citizenship Ability to obtain security clearance for Federal and Do D agencies requiring background checks
