accurate and reliable measurements of constituents, contaminants, and energy content. Manage capital budget for system-wide gas quality projects. Create time and cost estimates for new projects; create proposals and review bids for equipment and service contracts.
Monitors spending on active projects and maintains spending within approved amounts. Create and manage changes for project construction and in-service schedules, order materials, and coordinate with contractors and operations personnel. Provide technical and troubleshooting support for gas quality equipment systems to ensure reliable operations, promote quality measurement practices, and reduce Lost and Unaccounted for Gas (LAUFG).
Provide training and commissioning support for new gas quality equipment systems installations. Participate in industry research or independently research emerging fuels and other gas quality issues and provide recommendations and solutions for safely incorporating new fuels and mitigating any accompanying issues.
Represent company and actively participate in meetings, research projects and the development of standards documents as a member of external technical measurement committees and organizations (AGA, PRCI, AGMSC, AUCSC, Hy Ready, and others). Develop technical documentation, training materials and installation and testing procedures for gas sampling and gas quality equipment.
Develop technical documentation and training materials for gas sampling procedures used to monitor for contaminants of concern for internal corrosion, tariff compliance or other risks to end-use customers.
Develop and conduct training classes for gas sampling and gas quality equipment. Analyze, test and evaluate new technologies and equipment related to gas sampling or gas analysis to be incorporated into the BHE GT&S pipeline system. Provide data and recommendations related to gas quality to leadership, operations, gas control, marketing, and other internal/external customers. Qualifications Engineer I: 0-2+ years of related engineering experience Engineer II: 3+ years of related engineering experience Sr Engineer: 5+ years of relevant engineering experience Additional KSA's: • Four-year accredited engineering degree (Engineer) • Ability to monitor changes in technology with skill in developing, testing and recommending new ideas and strategies for the utilization of those changes • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and technical manuals • Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports, project schedules, and cost estimates • Ability to lead, work independently, communicate effectively, and establish rapport • Ability to define problems, collect accurate data, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions • Demonstrated ability to effectively operate a personal computer and common software applications.
