Our Senior Chemical Process Engineers play a pivotal role in the successful operation of our plants and are responsible for initiating and leading improvements to unit performance in safety, production, and reliability in a dynamic team environment. You will think strategically, execute thoughtfully, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations. In this role, you will serve as a senior process technical resource, providing technical and operational expertise to address complex processes across business teams.
What you will do Serve as the technical leader on the business team by: Mentoring less experienced engineers on design practices, unit health monitoring, and troubleshooting Provide off-hours support of abnormal and non-routine operations, including unit Turnarounds Aiding in the development of long term vision and strategy for product line improvements Organizing and designing plant testing and product trials Serve as a senior resource either serving as or working with supervisors on the team to set clear objectives, and ensure priorities are aligned for the technical team Influence others and drive toward solutions without direct authority Work in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, operations, and mechanical personnel and interface with corporate technology support Ability to interface with 3rd party vendors (cost optimizations as well as developing/driving solutions) Serve as process safety resource on business team leading Hazard and Operability Reviews (HAZOPs) and Risk backssments by developing closure plans and strategies for identified risks Lead/support incident investigations as technical lead Provide support for developing and implementing various capital projects to drive margin or mitigate SHE risk Provide assistance in the field during plant startups, shutdowns or upsets Demonstrating courage of conviction to drive healthy tension for both business team and corporate technology support to promote fit for purpose outcome About you Skills and Qualifications B.
S. Chemical Engineering 10+ years of experience in Chemical Engineering plant with technical fuels/ chemicals manufacturing roles. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints. Use gauge and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements. Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics, and composites. Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures, and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines. Recognizes, deploys, and properly
uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling. Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment. Ability to track parts and jobs in ERP system.
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions. Operate the overhead cranes and forklift effectively and safely. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. At a minimum, the CNC Machinist must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 2-3 years of proven experience working with CNC machines. This position works on industrial process control systems in support of capital projects, best practices, plant production initiatives and reliability improvement efforts. and will work closely with regional process controls engineers, plant process engineers, area managers, site supervisors and operating staff. Responsibilities: Support control system troubleshooting and upset investigations. Identifies, executes, and supports improvement projects related
