A typical day will involve you checking what tools have been returned, diagnosing the equipment, seeking approval from the Penske location management, making the needed repair and documenting all the data and details accordingly. You will interact regularly with other members of the Tooling & Service Bay Technology team

Major Responsibilities: • Visually inspect and perform established testing procedure to determine failure modes
of tooling and equipment. • Perform Major Repair Procedures from the Tooling Repair Center • Frequent (daily) data entry and documenting of information within the SETS SS ecosystem.
• Collaborate with contact for the Penske location on diagnosis and approval. • Perform various Tool Repair Center tasks to keep the flow of the SETS process moving. • Collaborate with contact for the Penske location on diagnosis and approval. • Communicate Tool, Replacement Part and Garage Supplies Inventory needs. • Identify areas of process improvement. • Other duties and tasks as required by supervisor. General Qualifications • 0-2 years as an automotive or heavy duty technician with diagnostics and repair experience preferred.
• CDI Torque Wrench Certification Training preferred • ASE Certifications preferred • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Associates or Tech School Degree preferred • Excellent organization, customer service and communication skills • Experience using tools of the trade (Including computers, tablets, cellular devices, hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment, etc). • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications (Including Outlook, Teams, Smartsheet and Salesforce, etc) • Regular, Predictable, full time attendance is an essential function of this job • Willingness to travel as necessary within the geographical area (Penske Truck Leasing locations), work the required schedule, work at the specific location, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment and education) and pass a drug screening.
