Responsibilities: The Resident Driver / Nurse Aide-CNA provides direct care to elder Franciscan sisters including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care.
Our Nurse aides are responsible for documenting care for our sisters as required and communicating with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure quality care. This position also assists and collaborates with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards. The Resident Driver / Nurse
Aide-CNA transports residents to and from hospitals, medical offices, rehabilitation centers, and the convent in a safe and professional manner.
This position also provides transportation services to residents in need of transportation for non-medical services. The Resident Driver will also perform duties similar to a Nurse Aide and provide restorative and enrichment support as well. Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent required. Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located is a PLUS but not required. Long-term resident care or home care experience is preferred but not required. Must possess a valid state driver's license in good standing.
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in the transport of residents is preferred.
