Orbital ATK is currently seeking an experienced Mission Assurance Engineer to provide leadership to our Missile Products Division team in our Rocket Center, WV offices. Responsibilities • •Participate as member of an IPT. Accomplish related results as needed. • •Act as quality liaison for Operations, Program Management, customer, government
agencies and other functions. • •Collaborate with customer’s quality engineering personnel. • •Ability to understand and generate quality reports such as First Pass Yield, First Article Inspection, Cost of Quality, etc.
• •Analyze data and drive process improvement. Lean Six Sigma training or certification is a plus. • •Familiarity with development of receiving inspection plans and in process inspection plans based upon statistical methods. • •Participate, and prepare presentations for program and Mission Assurance reviews. • •Review data and statistical analysis to backss process capability to meet required standards and specifications. • •Use lean tools such as risk backssment, 8D,
DFMEA and/or PFMEA. Will also work with the suppliers to help create a good working relationship and conduct periodic supplier audits to make sure that they are working according to plan.
• •Validate and coordinate product readiness for use or delivery, including FAAT qualifications of new suppliers. Will provide and support failure analysis processes for program hardware. • •Perform an independent risk backssment on Mission Assurance issues and communicate those issues. Requirements • •BS in Engineering or BS in related technical field • •2-4 years of experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing engineering is required. • •Knowledge of quality auditing tools, SPC and Root Cause Analysis.
• •Familiarity with AS9100 and Quality Management Systems (QMS). • •ASQ Certifications such as CQE, CQA are preferred. • •Ability to read and understand Technical Data Packages, including drawings and specifications. • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc. ) • •Ability to work with custom manufacturing software (specifically, Solumina) to maintain quality records, traceability, etc. • •Ability to work on multiple tasks in a dynamic environment • •Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite.

Quality Control Technician - Intern Job Summary Intern is responsible for working with the Quality Control department for sampling concrete product to ensure the product meets required specification and tests.
This position will provide work exposure to the following duties and responsibilities of a QC Technician. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Partners and coordinates daily/weekly scheduling with QC Manager, other Management, Plant personnel and crewmembers, as well as, Department of Transportation inspectors to obtain necessary samples and mix designs. Clear understanding of concrete
procedures/production. Must be self-motivated with a desire to learn, obtain certifications as needed.
Must partner with other members of staff reporting to Quality Control Manager to ensure quality control specifications are met, as well as daily production schedules/estimates. Knowledge to ensure ethical behavior and safety standards as required by the company and OSHA guidelines. Ability to prepare and submit proper documentation to the appropriate Quality Control personnel on a timely basis. Must understand how to evaluate test results and address problems when they arise. Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and the general public.
Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Some night work may be required. Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion. Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. Must pass drug test and criminal background check. Position Overview A Quality Control Intern will be given the opportunity to work with a vertically integrated company and experience multiple aspects of customer specification requirements in construction management as well as other lines of business.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Skills and Development during Internship: Receive detailed understanding of the HMA production processes. Learn Quality Control methods and reporting procedures. Learn entire paving process and density control. Work with QC Technicians to further understand smoothness determinations and IRI reporting. Learn
how to conduct and test equipment calibrations. Work to understand aggregate processing and quality conformance.
Assist with testing materials in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. Identify and become familiar with various mix specifications requirements. Test materials to determine specific requirements such as weight, gravity, temperature, thickness, and gradation of mix components. Communicate with other technicians regarding mix specifications and test results. Input test result data into computers in laboratories and remote locations. Communicate and assist paving personnel in adjusting processes to conform to specifications. Report and communicate test results ethically, adhering to the companies Ethics Policy.
Other Requirements: Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
