Job Description Summary National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This maintenance mechanic will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following
diagrams, reading operations manuals and troubleshooting malfunctions. The address of the facility is 9609 W Market St in Colfax, NC 27235. Responsibilities Installing and assembling new machines and equipment Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing machine failures Installing replacement parts such as vacuum pumps, hydraulic pumps, and hydraulic hoses.
Using power tools and different hand tools to complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders Following industry best practices, SOP's, LOTO procedures, and other safety guidelines logging performed maintenance work through either paper
documentation or a CMMS Requirements Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Experience with Cincinnati Milacron machines preferred Experience with Theason Extruders preferred Strong mechanical aptitude Proven work experience with electrical and mechanical components At least one year of industrial maintenance experience preferred Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to diagnose and fix problems Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, air and fluid valves, solenoids, motors, starters, breakers, pumps, material flow, limit switches, welding, and torches is a plus Knowledge of plastics extrusion processing is a plus Ability to lift up to 75 lbs periodically throughout the day Compensation The hourly pay rate is $25-$32/hr What CRH Offers You Highly competitive base pay Comprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programs Group retirement savings program Health and wellness programs A diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About CRH CRH has a long and proud heritage.
