He/she must make regular job site inspections. This individual must maintain job budgets overseeing costs against estimates. He/she must ensure adequate staffing needs are met for the job. The Project Engineer must ensure needed equipment and materials are provided.
This individual must maintain prompt removal of rental equipment from the site. He/she must conduct pre- and post-job meetings with plumber assigned to job. This individual must maintain proper documentation of the project (i. e. change orders, logbooks, contracts, certificates of insurance, etc. ). He/she must negotiate change orders with the client and ensure that the change order is signed by the client prior to the work being performed. The Project Engineer ensures that work is performed only after the company has obtained all required licenses and permits. The Project Engineer must also ensure inspections are scheduled on a timely basis.
