The successful candidate will be integral to a design team and be responsible for CADD drafting and design support associated with the creation of substation design packages. This position will encompass a variety of 2D and 3D CADD drafting assignments including development of substation general arrangements, elevations, grounding plans, conduit plans, bus details, preparation of bill of materials as well as schematics and wiring diagrams based on guidance from the project engineer.
Responsibilities also include performing redlines, miscellaneous design tasks and project support tasks as directed by the supervisor. Occasional
drafting support to other project teams and disciplines within the company will be required. Minimum Requirements: An accredited associate degree in drafting technology or equivalent required; excellent communication, organizational and writing skills a must.
Must be proficient in Auto CAD or Micro Station and possess a strong computer aptitude in a Windows environment. Qualified candidate must demonstrate a desire to learn and excel in design drafting and must work effectively and cooperatively within a team environment. Experience with Auto Desk Inventor a plus. The successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving will be
required. Successful applicant is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements.
