Work with other disciplines, such as residential, therapists, dietary, and behavior analysts.
Serve as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Provide support and nursing interventions during resident behavioral episodes, as necessary. Accurately prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered by the medical providers.
Prepare meals via G/J tubes and/or assist with meals. Give injections and IVs. Provide pre and post-operative care. Triage calls from staff and handle concerns and emergencies. Communicate with medical providers and follow through on orders as appropriate. Review lab values and consult reports. Monitor seizures and weights. Provide formal backssments, documentation, and progress notes. Complete or assist with resident ADLs. Coordinate and schedule
appointments, consultations, surgeries, and procedures. Participate in team meetings.
Arrange for and conduct nursing clinics and classes. Teach individuals and groups about health promotion and disease prevention. Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing. Knowledge of ICF and SNF regulations, the Nurse Practice Act, and state and facility policies and procedures Knowledge of maintaining medical records, charts, reports, and observations.
