Supervises team in the production of industrial battery manufacturing to meet company goals and expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plans and monitors work, analyzes production results and quality, implements lean manufacturing tools using the Ener Sys Operating System (EOS) to improve efficiency and continuous improvement. Tracks
and analyzes production metrics including productivity, efficiency and standard earned hours, in daily/weekly planning meetings and provides suggestions to improve output and meet goals.
Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, reduce scrap and improve quality. Uses Continuous Improvement as part of Lean Manufacturing supporting the Ener Sys Operating System (EOS), as a method to improve cost, quality and efficiency. Maintains a good working relationship with employees at all levels and supports all team members in doing the same. Manages time and production records with accuracy. Maintains a clean and organized department. Supports safety initiatives,
rules and regulations in all aspects of the job. Conducts daily start-up and shift hand-off meetings to discuss top issues and progress against goals, safety issues, continuous improvement ideas and bottlenecks.
Analyzes work center loading to estimate worker hours and creates a machining schedule to complete work load. Qualifications Education and Experience Required: High School diploma or the equivalent plus 1-2 years supervisory experience or equivalent leadership experience in a professional job. Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or the equivalent with 2-5 years of supervisory experience or the equivalent.
