The Imaging Services Manager Provides leadership in planning, organizing, staffing and managing the daily operational functions of imaging services. Manages, coordinates, evaluates and directs patient care services and all technical and administrative activities in alignment Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center mission, vision and values.
Ensures compliance with performance improvement plan, ACR, TJC and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. Description of Duties Oversees staff scheduling and assigns staff and workload requirements regarding changing priorities in daily operations.
Interacts and communicates with physicians, support staff, and other health care professionals to facilitate departmental operations. Maintains the ability to perform procedures in the discipline for which they supervise to include backssment of patient needs. Monitors the status of equipment repairs and preventative maintenance, gathers data on equipment malfunction and associated down time, and documents the effect on patient
care. Disseminates and assures compliance with department and system policies, procedures, and regulations.
Provides practical instruction for health care professionals. Evaluates staff, provides counsel, monitors performance, directs orientation, provides guidance, and constructively influences staff morale. Monitors and acts upon department Press Ganey survey metrics to ensure patient satisfaction goals are achieved. Gathers data and participates in the department's quality assurance and improvement plan to achieve a defined level of quality and appropriateness of patient care services. Controls inventory, cares for, and purchases supplies regarding areas of responsibility.
Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice and adheres to all internal controls at the federal, state and UTRGV land reporting structures. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervision Received General supervision from assigned supervisor. Supervision Given Direct supervision of assigned staff. Qualifications Required Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Licenses/Certifications Must hold a current registry from one of the following organizations: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
