What You Will Do: Work closely with the project manager and construction field safety team to understand project milestones, delivery schedule, and commissioning plans. Attend owner/architect/contractor meetings. Perform witness testing of select fire/life safety systems. Work with construction site
personnel and the Project Manager to help ensure that the project’s Construction Fire Prevention Program is relevant (given changing site conditions) and is being followed.
Assist with the scheduling and sequencing of our project scope of services and maintaining the project schedule and budget. Provide onsite field presence as required. Manage project related documents and field tasks including field reports, photos, drawings, and meeting minutes. Interact with all project participants including internal staff, owners, OPMs architects/engineers, contractors, and subcontractors in connection with project services and field issues. What You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in construction
management, engineering, safety or a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
3+ years of prior experience in either construction management, commissioning, site inspections, code enforcement, or engineering. A basic understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Alarm and/or Fire Protection Systems. Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Good organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills. Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in fast paced, deadline driven situations. Previous construction site survey and/or project experience with a specialization in fire and life safety systems is preferred.
Some knowledge of relevant fire and life safety codes and regulations preferred. Knowledge of construction methodologies and building codes a plus. OSHA 10/30 certifications preferred.
