Active in planning and coordination with a multidisciplinary inpatient team, community partners, court systems, and outpatient care teams regarding patients detained under the Involuntary Treatment Act and others as needed.
Complete behavioral health related discharge planning and assist with transitions of care. Assist with ensuring legal timelines and requirements are met for patients detained on an involuntary hold. Provide professional witness and proxy testimony in Involuntary Treatment Court. Communicate effectively with outside facilities and agencies, including psychiatric hospitals, members of the involuntary treatment system, outpatient care teams, and more.
