Pay Range (Registered Nurse): $35.19 - $51.68 USD hourly. Purpose of Job: Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing general education, and disease prevention to pre- and post-natal patients as follows: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Within scope of licensure: Visits homes as needed to determine patient and family needs, develops plan to
meet needs, and provides interventions and advocacy as needed. Instructs mother and family in prenatal care, care of new baby, and in maintenance of health and prevention of disease for family members.
Establishes treatment plans to promote healthy lifestyle. Gives directions to patient following health care provider instructions. Meets directly with patient to identify educational needs; provides instruction either individually or in a group setting, utilizes information handouts/booklets, or refers to community resources as needed. Teaches maternal and child care, lactation and other subjects related to individual and community welfare as required. Assists in special studies, research
programs and resource development. Performs other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.
Qualifications: Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in field of licensure required, including coursework in public health. Two years documented experience in parent-child work preferred. Valid license as Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian in the State of Washington required. Experience with electronic health records preferred. Skills: Computer skills required. Excellent customer service skills and compassion for patients required. Excellent oral communication skills required. Must be able to work independently and with teams.
BLS (CPR/AED) required. Valid driver's license and auto insurance required. Commitment to supporting a safe, respectful, equitable, and inclusive environment required. Physical Demands: Required to sit for greater than 50% of the day, and stand and be mobile at least 25% of the time. Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel over two-thirds of the time, as well as reach with hands and arms.
