GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION Perform security duties on a full-time basis, including enforcing University rules and regulations to protect the lives of students, faculty, staff, invited visitors, and USF property within the University community.
The position reports directly to the Director of Campus Safety or designee. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree preferred 2+ years of responsible and progressive work experience in law enforcement, criminal justice, or related field Ability to pass a University background check Demonstrated strong work ethic and independent thinking while following
procedures Attention to detail and accuracy Outstanding work history and ability to successfully work independently, as a part of a cohesive team, and follow procedures and policies of the department, institution, and applicable law.
Adherence to and understanding of the Christian mission of the University of Sioux Falls Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a crisis or fast-paced environment Valid and current driver’s license Able to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the workday daily Demonstrate ability to work effectively on feet/standing/walking all day; ability to pass a fitness test if required Ability to work evenings, weekends, and periodic holidays if scheduled APPLICATION
