codes, Company policies and procedures by inspecting operations, work areas, work practices and reviewing data and reports. Develop safety guidelines and related HSE communications and training/educational information.
Maintain policies and procedures related to HSE, including regular review of: Internal audits External audits of Safran facilities HSE training materials to ensure information is current to regulatory requirements Review accidents and incidents that occur in the facility and provide root cause analysis and preventative solutions. Chair/Facilitate the Company safety committee. Maintain Hazardous Waste Coordinator status, manage hazardous waste disposal and compliance. Act as the site Chemical Risks Correspondent. Develop and maintain all required documentation in an organized and structured manner. Assist with managing HSE and regulatory audits. Ensure all employees properly understand the importance of safety in the workplace. Manage the Company plant risk management process as well as the Safran HSE standards program. Interface with JV counterpart and manage the implementation of common HSE systems. Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and work stations according to Safran OS-Dev and OS-Mfg standards and Lean principles.
Collaborates with Continuous Improvement and Facilities Engineers to produce integrated solutions for targeted process improvements. Support VSM management with designs for WIP handling and storage, and design and/or measurement of other VSM parameters mandated by Safran OS-Dev. Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs. Other duties as assigned. Job Specifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related discipline required. No less than five years of relatable experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of and adherence with applicable laws, regulations, nationally recognized standards and guidelines related to specialized health, safety and environmental functions as required by the position. Occasionally work on programming of protection relays and other equipment. Provide site investigation or construction support efforts, which includes physically sketching equipment layouts, taking photographs, documenting circuit connections, documenting breaker setpoints, measuring equipment, asking client personnel questions, troubleshooting equipment, and performing other on-site tasks. Capability to work alone at a client site along with client personnel and remotely located WM or client personnel is required.
