A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER As a Transportation Engineer , you are vital to supporting traffic operations planning and design for master planning, long-range planning, regional studies, non-motorized transportation planning, and multimodal transportation planning studies. Your technical skills and working knowledge of transportation modeling tools enable you to conduct
intersection, corridor, and regional operational analyses for complex urban projects.
You are the primary resource for modeling data analyses, interpreting transportation model outputs to backss and identify transportation needs, and developing final reports. You have strong technical skills to summarize data and create visualization. Your analytical insights and critical thinking support project related decision-making.
