PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES As an integral part of the Ambrose team, a structural engineer can expect the following tasks and responsibilities: Work with drawings, computer models and verbal information supplied by the Client to develop a code compliant and cost effective structural building design Prepare structural design calculations as necessary for building design Collaborate with structural technicians for production of construction drawings Field Observations (some travel may be required) Review/approve construction administration contract documents such as specifications, shop drawings and as built drawings.

Assure deadlines and project budgets are met The structural engineer will work within a team, in collaboration with a project manager and structural technician for successful completion of projects of various types and sizes.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Structural Engineer with 5+ years’ experience PE registration required SE registration preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline required Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is a plus but not required Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam. Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred. Knowledge of Structural Analysis software packages (RAM Suite, Tekla, TEDDS, Enercalc, Wood Works, etc.
) Knowledge of design Codes and standards (IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, NDS) Experience utilizing Autodesk Revit and/or Auto CAD desirable. Strong problem solving and communication skills. Specialized skills for this position are required at this level. Areas of expertise may include: electrical motor control circuits, controls, machine design, welding, fixture/tool design, machine troubleshooting, quality. What you'll be doing: Support development and improvement of manufacturing processes that meet or exceed process control goals with manufacturing engineering team Design, build and validate assembly fixtures that meet operations requirements for production as required Design,
build and validate check fixtures and measurement fixtures for critical features to maintain process control as required Maintain drawing files (CAD, PDF and other documentation) related to manufacturing fixtures and equipment as required.
Develop automation acumen that enables skills development for trouble shooting equipment such as robots, CNC programming, etc. …. Support the transition from design into production, including any necessary testing and training required for implementing new or changed designs Support die development with manufacturing engineering team of parts to ensure quality of finished components to meet manufacturing requirements Maintain close contact with the shop floor.

Lead shop floor rearrangements & 5S activities as assigned What you should have: What you should have: Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as that which would be acquired in the first two or three years of college or technical school and/or certification program. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. 1-3 years of work experience required. Knowledge of CAD systems (Auto CAD and Inventor Preferred) SAP experience is a plus.
