Overview The FICO Functional Specialist will collaborate with key business resources, system implementor and AMS provider in providing functional expertise for the SAP FI module to the Construction Lo B. The main responsibilities for the role will include but will not be limited to designing FICO/PS/EPPM solutions, configuring systems during project implementations, simplifying and improving business processes, creating new business cases, identifying and documenting requirements, supporting FICO processes and integrations for Construction business.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Works closely with the construction business units across all divisions, using SAP
S/4 HANA to best configure and support their business CRH processes. Evaluates construction business processes and identifies opportunities for improvements and savings.
Prepares cost-benefit analyses to support all improvements and opportunities. Leads FICO related project activities and coordinates with other team members to deliver on business requirements. Provides leadership, direction, and issue resolutions to end-user community regarding FICO business processes, FI data, enhancements, and interfaces. Provides solutions, directions, and options for new business requirements. Provides guidance, understanding, and recommendations to the business user-community in the SAP FICO area.
Follows IT standards, documentation, development methodologies as related to support and development activities.
Executes project activities related to FICO function ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Proactively anticipates project deviations and escalates the need for immediate corrective action. Acts as the gatekeeper of the SAP template for the FICO functional area and ensures that project teams are adhering to the standards established. Maintains documentation library for design, configuration and training material related to FICO processes. Assists with performing integration, unit and user acceptance testing, including preparation of test cases and writing test scripts for FICO processes.
Supports security design and maintenance as required, including oversight of approvals for finance, ensuring they meet organizational standards. Coordinates with external vendors and Banks regarding system integrations and upgrades Investigates, analyzes and escalated support issues from Finance business teams. Supports cross functional priorities. Prepares weekly FICO project activity statuses. Leads ongoing reviews of business processes and develops optimization strategies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience Work Experience: 10+ years of experience as SAP FI Functional Consultant in the Construction industry Education: Bachelor's/University Degree or equivalent experience Preferred field of study: Business Administration or Information Technology Other Training/Certifications Required: SAP Certification in FICO, PS, EPPM modules is highly desired. Additional Education Preferred: PMP Knowledge/Skill Requirements 10+ years of SAP FI experience including FICO/PS/EPPM functional expertise and FICO integration with other modules and systems especially in the Construction industry.
In-depth knowledge and e xtensive hands-on experience on configuring and supporting SAP FI, CO, PS, AP, AR ad EPPM modules and SAP interfaces with banks and other non-SAP systems. In-depth understanding of the integration between FI, MM, SD, PM, and PP is essential. Strong business process knowledge in revenue recognition processes: RAR. Strong business process knowledge in PS and EPPM. Knowledge of Vertex or other Tax solutions that integrate with SAP. Ability to backss the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications.
3-5 full lifecycle implementation projects as a FICO/PS functional/configuration team member. Be able to independently solve complex functional issues Experienced with utilizing OSS and submitting support messages to SAP. Experience with SAP Data Migration and Interfaces Experience working with Cross-Functional Teams (SD/MM/PM/PP/LIS/BW) to develop functional and technical designs. Experience in managing customer expectations and building relationships. Demonstrated ability to operate and adapt in an ever-changing environment to changing requirements and priorities. Ability to identify solution gaps and disconnects in existing solutions; ability to work with the on- and off-shore development teams to explain the proposed design and share best practices.
