Retrieves stainless steel plates that require refinishing from the automated plate farm. Identify reject plates that do not meet Isola's quality standards and determine the course of action for refinishing based on the incoming quality of the plate. Use a micrometer to measure the thickness of the plate and adjust the gap setting on the refinishing machine to accommodate the thickness of the stainless steel plate. Using a profilometer to measure the smoothness of the plate following the final pass to ensure
that the smoothness measured meets the plate quality requirements.
Cleans the refinishing machine as required. Take direction from engineering on the plate refinishing schedule. QUALIFICATIONS: Prior machine operating experience- required Previous experience with work instructions, work orders, and ERP systems- preferred Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment- required Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background report.
