per hour + $1.25 shift differential THE ROLE The Plate Refinisher Operator is responsible for the operation of the Time Saver plate refinishing machine to prepare plates with a level of surface quality required for the press cycle. Additionally, this position is responsible for operating and maintaining the exhaust unit connected to the plate refinisher.

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs set up and operation of the refinishing machine and dust collector, including start-up and shutdown, belt change, and gauge adjustment (based on plate thickness) as necessary.
Retrieves stainless steel plates that require refinishing from the automated plate farm. Identify reject plates that do not meet Isola's quality standards and determine the course of action for refinishing based on the incoming quality of the plate. Use a micrometer to measure the thickness of the plate and adjust the gap setting on the refinishing machine to accommodate the thickness of the stainless steel plate. Using a profilometer to measure the smoothness of the plate following the final pass to ensure
that the smoothness measured meets the plate quality requirements.
Cleans the refinishing machine as required. Take direction from engineering on the plate refinishing schedule. QUALIFICATIONS: Prior machine operating experience- required Previous experience with work instructions, work orders, and ERP systems- preferred Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment- required Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background report. Your work will contribute to the efficient operation of our facilities and the overall success of our projects. Pay Range $27 - $32 / Hourly - Pay rate is determined upon interview and experience. Reports To Plumbing Superintendent Job Responsibilities Installs new mechanical equipment such as pumps, relief valves, recirculation pumps, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, and condensate traps. Sets up hydronic heating and cooling systems, along with their associated
controls. Constructs and welds piping and equipment supports, brackets, and guides.
Assembles and prepares piping that requires welded connections. Collaborates with other skilled trades. Repairs plumbing and hydronic heating systems. Conducts filter replacements on hydronic heating systems and control air units. Occasionally provides guidance to others, including training. Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements. Measures, cuts, and shapes pipes using hand and power tools. Welds, brazes, cements, solders, and threads joints to connect pipes and create sections of the piping system. Mounts supports, valves, and piping.
Tests the system for leaks using specialized equipment. Cleans and maintains pipe components and fittings and flushes the system. Removes and replaces worn-out components and restores the system to functionality. Performs additional duties as necessary. Minimum Requirements 3 Years of Experience Pipefitting Desire to learn and grow. Punctual and arrives on-time or early.
