Position Summary: The Trailer Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining equipment at the transfer station and material recovery facilities safely and professionally. Your Role: Perform annuals, air brakes, lights, welding, etc. Maintain and repair various types of trailers and hydraulic systems. Work all assigned shifts from scheduled start time to scheduled end time. Take an active role in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace. Participate in all required Company
meetings, including weekly safety meetings. Other duties assigned.
Your Skills: Ability to use a variety of vehicle maintenance tools such as hand tools, electric tools, pneumatic tools, jacking equipment, safety stands, electronic testing equipment. Ability to receive, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to read and understand parts and services manuals. Ability to prepare legible and understandable work orders and schedule completion sheets. Requirements : High School diploma or equivalent 2-5 years of experience in a transportation environment Driver's license Driver's license with a CDL B is preferred (or willing to get their CDL training) ASE certification Road calls Air brakes certification Demonstrated mechanical skills.
