Expand technology penetration of retail and business clients by pro-actively using the customer convenience channels offered by First Community Bank; personally using the services allows employees to be a better customer advocate. Open new accounts and service existing accounts as outlined by operational procedures, ensuring required documentation is received and archived at time of account opening.

Duties: The Teller is responsible for cashing checks and disbursing funds after verifying signatures when applicable and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals. Accept deposits, confirming accuracy of transaction. Prepare, verify, and issue official
checks and loan proceed checks. Prepare, verify, and process deposits from night deposit box, loan payments, withdrawals, currency and coin orders, safe deposit box payments, etc.
Evaluate checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents. Enter transactions in bank's Teller Capture software with accuracy and precision, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts. Maintain a neat and organized work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records. Make sales referrals suggesting alternative banking options, including the cross-selling of the bank's products and services.
Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses.
Recognize customer needs and introduce new products and services (credit cards, savings accounts, insurance, etc. ). Reconcile cash drawer to the accepted Company's balancing expectations by proving cash transactions, counting, and packaging currency and coin.
