expertise and leadership will guide teams as they pursue alternative delivery transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Central and Western United States. You will also contribute to strategic planning, business development, operational reporting, information management, communications, and brand management.
You will partner with the Design Build Regional Sales Officer, the assigned Pursuit Champions and their teams, and the geographic division sales and marketing teams as they pursue projects and build successful relationships with our contractor partners during a pursuit. Working with this team, you will help drive the discovery process, develop and implement teaming and
pursuit strategies and win plans, and serve as an expert partner to guide the broader pursuit team to success. As a member of a national resource group, partnering with office, division and region leaders to drive pursuit strategy, your efforts affect the success of the design-build organization and the geographic divisions.
You will work with pursuit teams primarily in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones. You may work from any HNTB Office; location near a major airport would support travel. What You'll Do: Serves as a divisional advocate to the pursuit and partners with the pursuit team, division and office leadership to support the value discovery process, developing and delivering
resources to execute a relationship strategy that will discover client needs.
Partners with the business, participates in strategy sessions, and develops a pursuit strategy that is targeted to client needs, demonstrating HNTB's understanding of those needs, and differentiating HNTB's ability to deliver value to the client relative to competitors. Uses knowledge, leadership, and influence to leverage resources across the firm to support all stages of the pursuit and differentiate HNTB to the client. Serves as a division resource and pursuit advocate during all stages of the pursuit, updating the Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Division President (DP) and Division Sales Officer (DSO) on pursuit status.
Provides leadership to the proposal development and delivery team and ensures the greatest possibility of success by supporting compliance, readability, and sales messaging of pursuit related materials. Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree and 15 years related experience What You'll Bring: Advanced degrees and/or additional industry certifications (e. g. DBIA, PMP, CPSM, APMP) are helpful. Understanding of design build best practices, with subject matter expertise and insight to guide and partner with the pursuit team while implementing HNTB's Sophisticated Sales and Design Build approaches.
Strong marketing/proposal background and experience in the transportation infrastructure market, especially under alternative delivery, with a demonstrated record of success leading pursuits. This includes supporting the proposal review process with compliance checks, messaging confirmation and strategic writing assignments during recovery (when necessary). Experience facilitating meetings and work sessions, including developing agendas, managing discussions, capturing concepts and conducting follow-up activities. Ability to collaborate with other members of the design-build organization Sales and Marketing Team and with the Central Business Group to develop and implement strategies, processes, tools, information management and resources that support pursuit success.
Ability to guide pursuit champions and teams in CRM record management and development and management of proposal budgets and schedules, providing hands-on support when necessary. Excellence in both oral and written communication. Ability to assist pursuit team in discovery activities. Proficiency with popular software programs used for proposal and presentation activities (e.
g. In Design, Adobe, Power Point). Professional demeanor, ability to independently interface with senior leaders, technical and marketing teams, subconsultants and project owner and contractor clients.
