Responsible for the conception, development, justification and implementation of manufacturing processes to achieve corporate objectives in safety, quality, costs, and delivery. Interacts with all plant engineering and shop floor personnel. Accountable for defining, planning and executing continuous improvement projects by leveraging solid project management skills and the activities of plant engineers and personnel.

Conceives and implements projects to meet growth and productivity initiatives in support of corporate profitability objectives. Leads activities to improve production and equipment through application of lean manufacturing concepts.

Supports and may lead the design of safe processes and equipment. Provides continuous improvement ideas based on current and new technologies, and effectively communicates engineering information to plant personnel. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high profile exposure to plant management and corporate executive management. More than 40% of the time the incumbent will be in a plant environment. This will cause exposure to noise, dust, petroleum products, machinery, moving vehicles, electrical wiring, compressed air and/or hazardous materials. Experience Required: 1 - 5 years of related experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficient in engineering practices and procedures. Proficient with computer applications and related analytical systems. Proficient in all plant processes and procedures. Excellent communication skills including verbal and written. Proficient in training and mentoring associate and mid-level engineers.

Proficient in project management with minimal functional guidance.
