We support sensor development and operations with some of the world's most exquisite optical and radar systems at locations including the Lincoln Space Surveillance Complex (LSSC) in Westford, MA, the Experimental Test Site in Socorro, NM, the U. Job Description The Advanced Sensors and Techniques Group is seeking a candidate to help design and build the next generation of space surveillance sensors. The successful candidate will work in multi: disciplinary teams of scientists and engineers to prototype and demonstrate
innovative concepts leveraging real: world data and access to world: class sensors.
Assignments will require the candidate to work independently and in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. who would like to address critical problems requiring machine learning as part of collaborative, interdisciplinary teams. Specifically, the candidate will aid in the design, implementation, and testing of machine learning algorithms relevant to Homeland Security and Defense applications.
Knowledge of state: of: the: art machine learning techniques is considered important, as well as experience with the design and implementation of such methods on image, video, text, or other sensor data processing tasks. This position will provide the opportunity to learn about mission: relevant applications of AI, conduct independent research (including model design decisions and performance backssments),
and discuss the results of that research within collaborative team settings.
Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, information science, data science, or an equivalent field.Prior exposure to machine learning algorithms, through coursework or research.
