The incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the planning, implementing, and evaluating training and employee engagement activities aligned with the strategic plan. The incumbent will assist with state and local health promotion initiatives, including the Healthiest Weight Florida initiative.
The incumbent is expected to promote cooperation and teamwork in a diverse environment. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Training and Research Manager in the Communications, Health Education, and Nutrition Division. Travel may be required. 35% Trainer/Researcher Develops, coordinates, conducts,
and evaluates training programs under the supervision of the Training and Research Supervisor. Maintains and updates professional development and tracks. Assist in the creation of TRAIN profiles, create and assigns courses.
Maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities of instructional design and development techniques required to produce face-to-face training. Provides assistance with training as needed. Posts learning opportunities for staff. Assist in the creation of bi-annual all-employee training. 30% Employee Engagement Assist in the development and coordination of employee engagement programs, monthly blood drives, birthday acknowledgments, and holiday activities. Sits on the Awards
Committee and Rewards and Recognition Program for FDOH-Escambia.
Tracks inventory of Rewards and Recognition items. Maintains tracking system for STAR Awards. Sits on the Employee Engagement Committee. Promotes employee wellness and engagement activities. Assist with employee Onboarding, including leading local orientation sessions. Updating employee spreadsheets, and onboarding binders. 20% Customer Satisfaction Maintains, Tracks, and updates customer comments. Assists with reports and maintenance of spreadsheets. Facilitates customer feedback push weeks. Reviews, analyzes, and implements customer satisfaction QI projects. 10% Support and Response Deliver presentations or participate in health-select education outreach events when needed.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of FDOH-Escambia core campaigns. Offers staff support with internal training and communication plans and outreaches. 5% Other duties as needed.
