cost, performance, and per schedule; Conduct benchwork for projects assigned coordinating transfer of lab size batches to production size; Maintain an existing line of personal care products, oral care, and home care, & address any formulation/ingredient issues (like incompatibility, stability, etc.

); Identify & coordinate outsourced product development projects including interacting closely with third party manufacturers, helping with development of manufacturing processes, and assisting in scale-ups for new and existing products; Help conduct feasibility and plant trials during development of products; Establish specifications, stability and safety requirements; Ensure stability testing

process for assigned projects by ensuring in-house physical stability testing conducted by stability coordinator and coordinating with outside testing houses for specialized testing needs; Make prototypes/coordinate with contract manufacturers for samples for submission to Marketing department and for Management review; Track project tasks in Share Point and Workfront to ensure the project is meeting stage gate timelines; Create PO requests on Manufacturing Production Systems for plant trials of new products; Develop and maintain contacts with industry experts, organizations and manufacturers of raw materials and finished products; Design specification sheets for every new formula and raw material

ingredient; Visit co-manufacturers and monitor first-article and pilot batch production runs; Evaluate potential contract manufacturers for technology transfer of existing cosmetic formulas; Track development of new line of products and assist global markets with technical information for registration process; Research different compounds present in active ingredients and their beneficial effect on human skin, oral cavity health, and home hygiene efficacy; Confirm presence of specific compounds (e.

g. Volatile Organic Compounds, Phenols) in raw materials using Direct Analysis in Real Time Mass Spectrometry (DART-MS) and evaluate effects of these compounds in the human body through literature study; Conduct ingredient research through literature studies; Formulate powder-based protein and vitamin supplements; Work closely with package development, marketing, regulatory, supply chain, operations, quality, and sales teams globally and collaborate on all aspects of product development; Track project updates, adhere to timelines, and report them in project progress meetings weekly.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants need to have a Bachelors degree (or foreign equiv. ) in Bio-Chemistry, shop, or related field and 5 years progressive post Baccalaureate experience in Process/Product Formulation Development in Personal Care Products including 2 years experience in the job offered.
