than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Markets and sells all energy products and accounts receivable within assigned territory, including securing new clients and increasing sales volume to existing clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Establishes a route system in delivery territory and calls on all clients or potential clients in delivery territory to obtain orders for energy products. Acts as sole sales contact between GROWMARK and clients in delivery territory. Responsible for meeting sales goals as established by supervisor. Adheres to GROWMARK’s sales and marketing strategies and attends GROWMARK sales trainings as offered. Records
sales or deliveries information on daily sales. Maintains a preferred prospect list and calls on prospective customers to solicit new business. Prepares order forms and sales contracts.
Promotes the use of FS credit / Agri-Finance as a sales tool. Communicates marketing programs and distributes sales promotion materials to customers and prospects. Adheres to and supports the company credit policy, checking credit history of patron before making a sale, and explaining policy to new customers. Collects accounts as needed according to credit policy. Fulfills orders obtained from stock maintained in company vehicle and/or loads, drives, and delivers petroleum products to fill orders obtained
from clients as necessary. Follows up on all customer complaints and seeks solutions in a timely manner.
Submits required reports promptly as requested by supervisor and communicates activities in trade territory on a regular basis. Maintains company vehicle, performs basic maintenance as needed. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Daily independent travel within sales territory with occasional overnight stays. Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years or more of sales experience.
Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Where required by law, must possess or obtain a selling or solicitor’s license. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement. Must maintain or have the ability to acquire and maintain an EMS (Energy Management Specialist) certification. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered “normal.
” Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions. Working conditions may occasionally include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
