manages the inventory layout, creates and organizes sales promotions, and selects merchandise, anticipating customer demand and market trends. The Merchandiser will provide direction to the Sales Associates and support the needs of the Store Manager. Essential Duties: Demonstrate dignity, respect, and positive attitude while working with people with disabilities.
Prepare and implement marketing campaigns to support in-store merchandising, sales goals, and seasonal events. Promote and manage on-line sales. Direct merchandising activities of sales associates. Compute sales prices, total purchases, operate register, and receive and process cash or credit payments. Maintain knowledge of current
sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices. Tag, arrange, and display merchandise to promote sales. Greet customers and recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based upon customer needs or inquiries.
Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating credit card receipts and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits. Provide initial and ongoing training for certified employees. Complete daily documentation entries for certified employees. Assist certified employees with annual vocational plan, completion of quarterly satisfaction surveys, other required documents. Become proficient

Be flexible in a busy retail setting in regards to job assignments and hours of work. Promote safety practices and procedures in all aspects of job duties, including, but not limited to: supervision of clients, program areas, transportation, community integration, lifting, and equipment.
