A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SEASONAL FLORAL MERCHANDISER Unbox product, unwrap roses and prepare them for sales floor Change water in buckets on display pallets. Sweep and mop around display areas. Break down any pallets of product, get it on rolling racks, so it goes to the sales floor first. Ensure it is enough to fill displays. Remove all trash and water buckets from the back-stock area to make more
room in the dairy cooler for a new delivery. Preparing large vases on flatbeds (open to display w/signs) for easy replenishment on the sales floor. SEASONAL MERCHANDISER QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Must be 18 years of age or older Able to work full agreed assignment Physically able to push/pull/lift up to 40 lbs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Works under the Administrative supervision of the Administrative Coordinator - Pools.
Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public. Responsible for receiving money and operating cash register. Performs administrative bookkeeping duties. Assists in ensuring daily revenue close outs are completed and balanced. Responsible for participant registration of various aquatic activities. Performs custodial
and cleaning duties of pool facility. May perform a variety of miscellaneous receptionist duties such as greeting customers, answering phone, collecting fees, running errands, picking up supplies needed for activities, making arrangements for use of pool, helping set up for classes, events, etc.
Assists and responds to public inquiries and complaints about aquatics programs made in person or by telephone. Operates a motor vehicle to assist in carrying out the business of the department and the city. Attendance at work is an essential function of this position. QUALIFICATIONS This position is subject to the City's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Program. Considerable knowledge of administrative office skills with experience in typing, computer, calculator, telephone and related office machines. Knowledge of administrative bookkeeping procedures. Must have ability to work a varied shift including weekends and holidays. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, participants and the administrative public. Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment. Must have knowledge and understanding of aquatic programming or ability to obtain such. Extensive background checks required.
