Administration.

S/he has an established record of clinical excellence, credibility, and commitment to SAHS and Trinity Health. The IAPPMD articulates and supports policies and initiatives put forth by the SAHS leadership team and provides feedback and assists with resolution/recommendations on provider issues.

TIME COMMITMENT: 0.2 FTE Administrative. During this time allocation the IAPPMD is expected to ensure effective ability to meet essential functions along with attendance at SARMC APP Council and SARMC Medical Executive Committee (MEC) meetings, ad hoc attendance at other SAHS hospital meetings as needed. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTSMasters or

Doctorate level education with current certification as Advance Practice Provider. Unrestricted APP medical staff privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) who function in the inpatient setting.

The IAPPMD shall be employed by SAMG 0.8 FTE as a clinical APP and 0.2 FTE administrative. Demonstrated proficiency in teamwork, performance analysis, presentation, collaboration and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain positive rapport with peers, colleagues, medical staff, and management. Minimum of 5 years' experience as an APP. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: I. Leadership Consistently emulates the SAHS mission and guiding behaviors and expects the same of providers,

colleagues and associates. Promotes a cooperative and collaborative working environment and is a role model for APPs, both employed by SAHS and independent, in the acute care setting.

Participates in directorship meetings as appropriate. Responds to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Collaborates/supports SAHS leadership and engages APPs to support hospital and acute care operational, quality, accreditation/regulatory, compliance, and certification requirements. Works with the SARMC CMO, in support of service line and operations directors, assisting with developing practice and performance expectations by APPs to achieve organizational objectives of excellence in quality and safety.

In collaboration with the CMO, President, Executive Medical Directors, Medical Directors, and Administration, to address issues involving team dynamics or behaviors to achieve an efficient, consistent, and mutually respectful environment of care. Collaborates with the CMO to develop and deploy effective peer review processes for APPs in the acute care setting. Participates in development of quality and performance bonus program with direction from SAMG/SAHS leadership. Leads the APP Council and ensures effective communication of critical information. from MEC to ensure compliance with actions taken at MEC that affect the APPs.

Assists in development of strategic direction for APPs in the inpatient setting that supports APP accountability and integration of APPs as part of the interprofessional team. II. Liaison Serves as the point of contact and APP expert in appropriate leadership forums while providing appropriate communication between APPs, physicians, and administration. Ensures inclusive working relationships and engagement with independent APPs. Collaborates and attends MEC and appropriate medical staff meeting for their specialty and operational meetings as requested.

III. Mentorship In collaboration with SARMC CMO, helps oversee and provide mentorship to APPs in matters of leadership, quality, practice backssment, performance, and professionalism. Assist with APP mentorship for new hires with a goal of decreasing attrition and enhancing both cognitive and professional growth. Support APPs who are new hires and transfers of specialties. IV. Recruitment and Retention Collaborates in recruitment efforts with recruitment team. When indicated, collaborates in interviewing APP candidates. May interview candidate references to gain unique professional insights.

V. Quality and Risk Collaborates with administration to assure the SAHS quality initiatives implementation by the APP. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of APP peer review process- and helps lead the APP peer review process once it is implemented. Identifies risk management issues, report those risks to appropriate leadership and or Risk Management. VI. Resiliency Participate in Peer-to-Peer support wellness plan. Participates in Peer-to-Peer resiliency program. Recruits a cadre of trained APP Peer-to-Peer champions.
