A $1,500 housing stipend offered to qualifying candidates who need to relocate for the duration of the position Position Duties: The Agronomy Plot Technician predominately performs work outdoors and in a remote based environment Work safely following safety rules, regulations, and personal protective
equipment requirements Assists with weed control by means of herbicide applications and hand-weeding Tissue samples, soil samples, stand counts, and other metadata collection as necessary Apply foliar spray applications with a backpack sprayer and is responsible for accurate mixing and application of fertilizer and/or chemicals per blend sheet specifications Drone operation for aerial imagery & spray applications Farm equipment preparation & operation, seed prep, equipment transport, field operations, and some mapping Keep current on agronomic products, trends, and precision agriculture technologies Position Competencies and Qualifications: Ability to live near the KEARNEY, NEBRASKA area throughout
duration of employment.

Other locations are acceptable in the Central & Western Nebraska area with manager approval. Ability to obtain a Nebraska Commercial Pesticide License by the first day on the job containing General Standards (00), Ag. Pest Control (01), & Demonstration/Research (D/R) categories Ability to obtain Colorado Private Pesticide Applicators License by the first day on the job Ability to work extended hours in an outdoor environment and >50% overnight stays in hotels Basic math skills, attentive to detail, and able to work without direct supervision Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree, preferably in an agricultural related major or program but not required General knowledge of corn, soybean, and general crop growth and development.
Satisfactory level of technical knowledge in agronomy, ag technology, and crop sciences preferred Must have a valid driver's license & driving record acceptable to company policy to operate a company vehicle Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U. S. without company sponsorship Frequently move, lift and carry boxes, tubs, and tools weighing 50-60 lbs.
