As a Supplier Diversity Manager, you will serve as a supplier diversity subject matter expert and will be a trusted business partner driving supplier diversity performance across Mass Mutual. Key member of the supplier diversity team, developing advanced supplier diversity
capabilities across Mass Mutual Lead/influence supplier diversity integration in procurement functions including sourcing, category management, supplier management and procurement operations.
Work with individual business stakeholders to develop and execute supplier diversity spend growth targets and goals. Effectively collaborate with procurement (e. g. contracting, spend analytics, SRM) and non-procurement (e. g. risk, accounts payable) teams to develop effective processes and set supplier diversity guidelines. Engage in negotiations, and with tactical purchasing teams to increase diverse supplier inclusion and utilization. Perform supplier diversity market analysis, benchmarking and insights gathering.
Remain current on industry trends, and use this knowledge to advance supplier diversity. Implement diverse business programs to develop a pipeline for procurement opportunities, measure impact. Manages supplier diversity external outreach by engaging organizations to advance supplier diversity including (NMSDC, WBENC, NGLCC, Disability: IN) Evaluate the supply base for diversity, equality and inclusion practices and drive continuous improvements. Serve as a key member of cross-functional initiatives and projects. Work directly with business stakeholders to establish and align supplier diversity strategy.
Build, monitor, and report on supplier diversity performance Work with Procurement teams to integrate supplier diversity end-to-end to drive diverse supplier spend growth. Assist in evaluating proposals and developing inclusion options. Present supplier diversity recommendations to business stakeholders, gain buy-in and push past resistance. Build and execute long-term supplier diversity strategies that align with the business’s strategic priorities. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related major.
At least 8 years' experience in supplier diversity, sourcing, 3rd party relationship function, project management, category management or related field. Extensive experience in working with diverse supplier networks, negotiating inclusion requirements, managing complex client relationships. Working experience with sourcing techniques, tools and processes. Ability to act as a supplier diversity thought leader and strategic thinker to partner with stakeholders across a range of levels and organizations. Experience with transformation/change management, developing and improving capabilities. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
