Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Nurse Aide II performs a variety of basic patient care activities and related procedures in caring for the needs of the patients. He/She assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. You Will Be Responsible
For: Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, B/P, height/weight and intake/output measurements accurately.
Reports findings outside of normal range to RN. Provides assistance with ADL s to assigned patients. Provides assistance with the nutritional needs of the patients, including feeding, mealtime assistance/set-up, supplying fluids, and delivering supplemental snacks. Lifts, moves, turns and transports patients out of bed, chair, stretcher, wheelchair, portable mechanical lift, etc, maintaining proper body mechanics. Performs laboratory procedures as noted: venipuncture, EKG, GTT, blood culture, urine collection procedures and other laboratory procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse.
