dean for advancement, (our organizational chart), you will be responsible for developing effective relationships with local, regional, and national employers to build a recruitment pipeline for students in the Urban Technology degree program at Taubman College.

The employer relations specialist will research employers, determine hiring needs of employers and promote the Bachelor of Science in Urban Technology to employers via cold calls, mass email, and off-site and remote employer visits. Responsibilities Proactively develop and implement strategies designed to build internship/employment opportunities for B. S. Urban Technology students and graduates. Strategically identify and build

relationships with regional, state and national employers for recruitment of urban technology students and graduates. Schedule and conduct remote employer visits to determine internships/hiring needs and promote urban technology students as a potential candidate pool.

Collaborate with urban technology faculty/staff and advancement team staff to increase employment opportunities for urban technology students. Work closely with staff to encourage employers to consider urban technology students for potential internship opportunities. Work with Taubman College staff to help develop employer marketing material, compose content, and coordinate timing of communications to employers. Compile

and report data on employer relations activities, backss employer relations efforts, and provide feedback as to the effectiveness of such efforts.

Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications A bachelor's degree and three years of work experience in a university environment, including experience in career programming Experience working with undergraduate programs Ability to work non traditional work hours including evenings in order to accommodate virtual and phone meetings with companies that are on Central, Mountain and Pacific times. Ability to do some local travel to employers within Michigan A professional demeanor with exceptional organization, time management, written, and speaking skills Ability to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision Application Deadline Job openings are posted for a minimum of seven calendar days.
