Trains and develops employees in accordance with process and food safety programs. Ensures all proper documentation is complete and accurate. Monitors Safety, Quality & Production to meet company targets and standards. Completes all production reports, inventory reports and down-time reports. Ensures Line Lead & Bagging Line Lead reports are complete and accurate. Consults management for production
plans to include re-blending. Consults with QA Lab to ensure quality specs are achieved. Initiates changes in process as needed. Works with the Safety Specialist to identify Safety hazards and put corrective actions in place.
Documents employee issues, complaints, work related injury or illness. Participants in outgoing/incoming shift handover meetings. Keeps work areas clean and free from debris. Complete all other tasks & responsibilities as assigned by management. Knowledge & Skills: Must possess at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a production environment. Must have strong communication skills, bi-lingual is a plus. Must possess basic Microsoft Office understanding and skill.
Must have a basic understanding of GMP's & Food Safety policies.
Must be able to be certified in LOTO, Confined Space & Forklift Safety. Education: High School diploma/GED required. Tech school or job-related experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, bend or move repetitively for up to 12 hours. Shift work required and overtime as needed.
