Requirements: RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Coordinates production schedule and activities with support departments and resolves production problems related to methods, tools, fixtures, materials, and manpower. • Confirms all line machinery is clean and functioning and all safety devices are used, utilizes 6 S methodology. • Lead Huddle Meetings and motivates team. • Directs efforts of manufacturing staff, ensuring all work is coordinated, downtime is minimized, and products meet established quality standards.
Updates Individual & Department Skills Flex. • Identifies cost, quality, schedule and inventory variances, and develops and implements corrective actions for negative variances. • Reviews daily production and operating data and provides reports to manager, updates White Board metrics. • Participates in interviewing, hiring, training, development and evaluation of staff. • Plans and develops staffing schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. • Manages performance and provides progressive discipline and positive recognition as appropriate. • Tracks attendance and time card accuracy.
• Monitors and controls budgets. • Projects staffing for daily and future production needs, authorizes overtime when needed for long term planning • Ensures compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations and standards. • Platform Skills (group presentation and workshop discussion) • Written and spoken communication skills • Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required.
