Maintain machines and equipment in safe operating order. Make repairs as appropriate or determine when vendors should be contacted for servicing. Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and DOH standards within
the Maintenance Department at The Line Up. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain proficiency in all areas as it pertains to their area(s) of responsibilities.
Qualifications Possess knowledge of Pool operating procedures and pump room engineering. Must be able to chemically balance wave pool per local health code. Certified Pool Operator (CPO), and/or Aquatics Facilities Operator (AFO) preferred but not required. Next Gen system experience (preferred but not required) Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrate ability to work with all levels of employees and management, and willingness to give assistance to co-workers. Demonstrate ability to

Ability to multi-task. Physical Requirements Exposure to temperatures relative to the various systems. Outdoor work conditions will involve weather, noise, and hazardous materials. Manage emotionally difficult situations with strong communication skills and empathy. Volunteer Recruitment & Retention. backsses and responds to volunteer inquiries about volunteering and coordinates recruitment strategies. Responsible for aiding in the retention of volunteers by ensuring a quality experience through relationship building, implementation of
volunteer retention programs, and organizing volunteer recognition events.
Organize engagement opportunities for volunteers throughout the year. Represent the Hawaiian Humane Society and Volunteer Services team at community events as needed for recruitment. Volunteer Orientation, Training & Development. Supports the organization in assisting and leading the volunteer onboarding process including, but not limited to, application and data processing, volunteer orientation, interviewing potential volunteer candidates, general volunteer training, assisting program leaders as needed in training and development of their department-specific roles, coordination of specialized training, policies and procedures, safety protocols, and ongoing training and development as needed.
Program backssment, Development & Growth. Work with the volunteer services manager to backss and monitor programmatic efficacy and impact by benchmarking and examining retention and engagement. Maintain educational and training materials for internal and external use. Support the creation of the monthly volunteer newsletter. Create and maintain digital orientation and digital training classes, while also working with team members and partners on in-person training class opportunities.
Volunteer Scheduling. As part of the onboarding process, determine each volunteer's regular schedule and coordinate with the relevant department(s). Identifies and schedules volunteers to assist staff with special tasks and projects upon request. Manages group volunteer experience scheduling and coordination. Manages the overall volunteer schedule and makes schedule updates as needed. Volunteer Supervision. Responsible for aiding each department in supervising and engaging with volunteers on a daily basis to ensure volunteers have a positive, quality experience and are following proper protocol, procedures, and best practices.
Relationship Management. Responsible for resolving issues that volunteers may encounter. Works directly with the appropriate staff member(s) to determine the cause of the issue and resolve the situation. Sets expectations of policies and best practices for staff and volunteers and follows up with volunteers and staff regarding any previous issues. Interdepartmental Communications. Participates in meetings with other members of the department and shares ideas and suggestions designed to improve volunteer programs and the organization as a whole.
