Our technicians work 50-hour work weeks and work 8-10- hour shifts and start their day early and enjoy primarily day travel (versus overnight) when servicing our out of state clients. Occasional overnight travel is possible. Our base starting wage begins at $24hourly. Hourly wage is commensurate with applicable experience, skills, education/training, and industry certifications/licenses. What you will need to be successful in this position: Proficient in proper techniques for pre-wiring, wiring panels, installing devices and panels, bending conduit to the device, programming, testing and troubleshooting systems with a deep appreciation for high standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and create " as built" drawings, A minimum of 2 years of experience or training with low voltage work. Low voltage experience or electronics education is preferred. Nicet Fire Alarm certifications is a big plus. State of Michigan or Ohio Fire certification also a big plus. Comfortable in working in confined spaces, hot and cold temperatures, various weather conditions, climbing ladders, working on lifts and lifting 80 to 100 pounds.
Proficient with basic telecommunications technology, i. e. cellular networks, web applications, phone and basic computer and networking knowledge. Clean criminal history and driving record. High standard and quality driven-- professional, dependable and customer service focused. A drive to solve problems, using critical thinking skills and the ability to successfully provide demonstrations/education to clients.
