MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Specify major duties performed by the job and % of time spent on duties.
Maintain overall responsibility for the effective, productive operation of the Metering Services Department Ensure the highest degree of accuracy economically viable is maintained in the equipment use to measure customer energy usage Responsible for direction and oversight of the company's test lab, which includes instrumentation testing, rubber goods testing, and incoming shipments of materials use in providing service to MPC customers Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the completion of all meter test programs as required by the Mississippi Public Service Commission Oversight, balance, and maintain budget for the department Participate on Southern Company committees both in metering and volume procurement areas to develop plans, both short and long term, that will guide the system metering efforts Provide overall strategic direction to the data collection effort of MPC Metering Ensure SOX compliance in all applicable areas Provide overall strategic direction and implementation of the AMI Network and assets and assure ongoing operation of the AMI Network systems Responsible for AMI Network management, including updating and maintaining detailed project implementation, management reports and representation Work with the Power Quality Coordinator, maintain the knowledge base of the NESC codes, federal codes and other power quality pertinent data to assist divisions in solving customer problems Overall responsibility for the procurement and installation of load research equipment used by various departments at MPC, SCS and other OPCOs.
