CTY hires a small number of staff members into flexible positions. The Center is seeking a State Affairs Manager to work directly with the Director of Policy and Programming and policy and programming team to help craft and execute state-level policy
work for a variety of states. Additionally, the Advocacy Manager will manage engagement with state policymakers and national and state advocacy collaborators.
The Advocacy Manager will coordinate with legal staff and research faculty for bill drafting and educational materials. This position reports to the Director of Policy and Programming. This is a full-time, hybrid post (2 days a week) in either Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Manage and execute state legislative policy strategy for priority partner states. Lead and coordinate weekly internal Center advocacy call. Engage with policymakers on priority policy issues to provide public health resources,
translation materials, and other technical assistance. Tracking and monitoring priority bills during legislative sessions.
Draft, coordinate, and provide testimony on priority legislation in priority states. Manage and coordinate with expert faculty for policy engagement and hearings.
