Required Qualifications : Applicants must possess a J. D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U. S. jurisdiction), and have at least 1 year post-J.

Preferred Qualifications: Applicants should possess superior oral and written communication skills, legal research skills, excellent analytical ability, good judgment, courtroom skills, appellate litigation experience, and a demonstrated capacity to function with minimal guidance in a highly demanding environment. In addition, applicants must exhibit the ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with other attorneys, support staff and client agencies. You must meet all qualification

requirements upon the closing date of this announcement. AUSAs receive training by the U.

S. Department of Justice and by the U. S. Attorney's Office. Education Applicants must possess a J. D. Degree Additional information Salary Information: Assistant United States Attorney's pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number of years of professional attorney experience. The range of basic pay is $77,381 to $183,400 which includes 21.17% locality pay and a cost of living allowance (COLA) of 9.28%. Maximum pay with locality and COLA is limited to $183,400 in 2023.
